Harper Valley Farm Goats and Sheep
Welcome to Harper Valley Farm! We are a small family farm in the Cariboo region of northern British Columbia, Canada. We love our home and our animals. We raise registered Nigerian dwarf goats, Boer goats, and Babydoll sheep. To our knowledge, we are only the second breeder of Miniature Harlequin sheep in Canada. We also raise Kune Kune pigs and various breeds of chicken and turkeys.
Nigerian Dwarf Goats
Nigerian Dwarf goats were originally bred in the U.S. as a show breed and as companion animals. They are now often used for small-scale dairy production. Below is a list of our breeding Nigerian Dwarf Goats. Please contact us to add their kids to your farm.
The Does
Linwood Blue Despicable Me
Desi is a very sweet, flashy moon-spotted, blue-eyed doe. She has a great udder capacity and always produces lovely moon-spotted kids.
Daisy – Unregistered
Daisy is my first goat. She was a bottle baby and is a very sweet girl; she is my baby and will always be with us.
She’s a pretty chamois color and has blue eyes. She has a good udder and produces very pretty kids.
Harper Valley Fern
Fern is a beautiful, level, yearling doe out of Sweet Solstice Glitter N Gold x Old Mountain Farm Talisman. Pictured below is Fern’s Dam.
Sweet Solstice French Toast
Another new arrival is the gorgeous French Toast. This girl is a nice rich gold with a massive udder! She’s a very sweet girl, and I can't wait to see what she will do for my herd!

Her dam is Wonderland Cocoa Nibs (daughter of Twilight). Her Sire is Happy Hoof Acres Magic Tony.
Harper Valley Blossom
Blossom is a beautiful doe with a great overall structure. Her sire is Curl Creek Finn, and her dam is Furthur KWB Shakedown Street.
Willow-Haven FG Hot Cheeks
Hot Cheeks is an absolutely beautiful doe with a great pedigree, including US genetics and Potting Shed.
Willow-Haven PSG Mildred
Mildred freshened with a beautiful udder. She has a great pedigree and great conformation.
Harper Valley Maple
Maple is another example of the improvement I have been trying to make. She's a small, nicely put-together doe. Maple is out of Linwood Blue Despicable Me x Willow-Haven RMF Big Bucks.
Harper Valley Mistletoe
Mistletoe is an example of all my hard work to better the breed paying off. She’s lovely throughout. She has a great pedigree with US genetics.
Lone Rock Pistachio
Pistachio was one lucky guy I was able to get my hands on! He is the whole package: he is polled with blue eyes, moon spots, and a stacked pedigree.
Furthur DSC Row Jimmy
Jimmy is very dairy! I was so lucky to get him! He has amazing lines backing him up, and he has been producing gorgeous kids. I’m so excited to watch what he does for me.
Willow-Haven RMF Big Bucks
Bucky is one special and good-looking boy. I have high hopes for him. His sire is one of the newly imported Rosasharn WS Marble Fox bucks. His Dam is Lovley Willow-Haven FG Sparky.
Miniature Harlequin
To our knowledge, Harper Valley Farm is only the second breeder of Miniature Harlequin sheep in Canada! They are a special breed out of the U.S. Miniature Harlequin sheep are considered rare. They are known for their fiber and for their tricolor fleece and laid-back personalities. They are polled and come spotted with smooth or fluffy faces. They are very close to the Babydoll sheep.
While we build our herd, we will only have wethers for sale out of our farm in Lone Butte, B.C.
Babydoll Sheep
The babydoll sheep is a sweet, wooly-faced, small sheep. They are very hardy and parasite resistant. They are great for meat and as pets.
We are hoping to cross some of our Babydolls with the Harlequin sheep to get more wooly-faced spotted lambs! Our herd of babydolls are all unregistered. Our ewe lambs list is full, but there are spots left on the list for ram lambs.
Please contact us to enquire about Harper Valley lambs for sale.
Boer Goats
Boer goats are a great all-around meat goat known for their size and rapid growth and weight gain. We just got into the world of Boer goats with 4 does and 1 buck. So far, they seem to be hardy and easy to handle even here in the Cariboo region. Our buck comes from top-quality lines from Staveley Farms. We will open the waiting list for kids once we have confirmed pregnancies.
